Daz and Toolkit
Or more correctly named "Windows Loader" (developed by Daz) and "Microsoft Toolkit" (developed by CODYQX4) respectively. The only place you should get these tools are over at the MDL forums, here and here. I'm not going to mirror them, this article is mainly just a reference with some related notes.
Genuine Ticket Method is a way to upgrading with clean installs.
1. Create a USB drive with a Windows 10 installation. 2. Copy gatherosstate.exe from USB /sources/ folder to Desktop (!important). 3. Run gatherosstate.exe as administrator and copy the generated GenuineTicket.xml to external media. 5. Perform a clean install of Windows 10 (but do not go online yet). 6. Copy the xml file afterwards to %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\ClipSVC\GenuineTicket and reboot. 7. Now you can go online and reboot once or twice until activated.
A note on OEM:DM
This is what those keys from Windows 8 and upwards embedded in the UEFI firmware / NVRAM are called. Installed during OEM factory pre-installs before computers are shipped. Opposed to when installing a retail key or upgrading from earlier versions of Windows. In these cases a check is made on the underlying system to see if it's activated (no key verification). If it is, a Windows 10 license certificate / digital entitlement is generated in relation to the version and a new hardware hash ID, these are then stored on the Microsoft activation servers for any future use on that same hardware. Reportedly the hash generated is mainly based on the Motherboard and not as much other components. This lets you change HDD, RAM etc without issues.
Upgrading an OEM:DM system is trickier than clean systems without embedded keys. This is because the upgrade is likely to use the embedded key instead of the system being upgraded. If you have a legit key to upgrade from, you can use PID.txt in the sources folder to force it into a new version. But if you have a Daz activated system, the OEM:DM key needs to be overridden/bypassed.
Bypassing OEM:DM when upgrading from 7/8.1
Example scenario: OEM:DM key is a Windows 10 Home key. We want Pro. 1. Install Windows 7 Pro/Ult and use Genuine Ticket Method above (but do NOT go online yet in the new system). 2. Upgrade to Pro afterwards by installing generic pro key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T Reboot. Then you can go online. 3. Reboot once or twice more to get activated.
